Connect to the snake! by PaleoRob Warning
Mountain biking can be dangerous - please know your skill level and be appropriately prepared with PPE before starting any trail. Overview This very short trail allows hikers to form a loop between the Snakeskin Trail and the Little Park to Gunny Loop trail in the Little Park area.
This trail is simple and straightforward. Coming down the Little Park to Gunny Loop Trail from the trailhead, there is a gravel fork in the trail shortly after coming out of a small gully. To the left, the Little Park to Gunny Loop trail continues up towards the Gunnison Loop. Taking the right fork, however, starts you on the Little Park to Snakeskin connector. This trail is very short and essentially flat, following a graveled road towards the rim. As you approach the point where the pinyon-juniper forest on the right begins to meet the canyon rim you will see an obvious single-track dirt path leading off to the right. This will allow you to connect to the Snakeskin trail. If you miss this, the gravel road forms a turnaround loop at the edge of the canyon. You can also connect into Snakeskin Trail here as well.
