Overview: A very scenic, and strenuous hike to two(2) high-country, glacial lakes (Surprise @ 9520' / Amphitheater @ 9760') surrounded by meadows and grand high-country mountain views under the towering shadows of Grand Teton Peak at 13770', Mt. Owen at 13400', Disappointment Peak @ 11618', and snow-white Teton Glacier.

    From Jackson,WY: Drive north on Hwy 26/89 to the Moose Junction entrance station for Grand Teton NP, pay your entrance fee then continue north on Teton Park Road to the signed Lupine Meadow turn-off; Turn left here and continue for 1.4mls on this well maintained gravel road to its end at the Lupine Meadow Parking/TH Start for this hike;
