lighting what exactly? by eru Overview
A rolling trail to a nice arch you can walk on. You can cross country up from the Wildcat Tank Hoodoos and walk along the road for a longer hike, or if you have a proper vehicle drive up to the trailhead for a short ~2-mile loop. Hike There's an NPS sign at a reasonably sized parking lot, the trail continues along the ridge. It's a moderately popular spot to drive to, we saw a few groups there that drove up in trucks. The trail itself is pretty easy to follow, but does become faint in a few places and has some steepish loose sections to it, so proper shoes/boots will help. It's sort of hard to get lost given the terrain constraints.
There is no water and no shade, but it's short. Leave No Trace and +Add a Triplog after your hike to support this local community. One-Way Notice This hike is listed as One-Way. When hiking several trails on a single "hike", log it with a generic name that describes the hike. Then link the trails traveled, check out the example. |
