![]() Garvey Springs Trail provides the shortest route to Sunfish Pond, one of the popular outstanding natural features in this section of the park. Sunfish Pond is a remarkable glacial lake. While the trail is short, it is a very steep trek to the top of Kittatinny Ridge. Once the trail reaches the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, head south (right) for 0.1 mile to reach Sunfish Pond. For a loop back to the trailhead, use the Douglas Trail, which intersects the Appalachian Trail three-quarters of a mile past Sunfish Pond. Over twenty miles of trail can be connected together in the Worthington State Forest area to fill the entire day.
