How often do you make it up to that part of the country?
I try to get up there once a year, and the drive or flight is pretty boring, next summer a couple friends from minneapolis and I are thinking about doing the winds, if your interested there would more than likely be room

Ive been in both yellowstone and glacier, and the backcountry in glacier has always seemed far more crowded than in yellowstone I wouldnt worry too much about bears if you do go to glacier, every camp ive stayed at has had at least 2-4 other groups there as well, the western side is a bit more wild,...

The Shoshone geyser basin is fairly accessible, I know there is a shorter trail to it that isn’t used as much, I’ve only gone the whole way around the lake though so I dunno how the trail is. But the geysers are very cool, and regularly erupt ~10ft high and there are plenty of hot springs around it

the lignin in wood is highly resistant to degradation, very few things degrade it and most are specialized fungi, not someting you see in the dry forests of AZ, a good burn and that thing will be gone....... not wishing that on humphreys though wood that is high in lignin will also burn hotter and l...
