I seriously considered the "well-placement" of my hiking pole at that point, but decided against it. So you're either going to kill the guy or knock him off the bike? One will land you in jail for a while, and the other will give some guy- who is probably used to falling anyways- a darn g...

They stocked the Salt River, but that was a couple months ago. On the plus side, there are some bass in there, that have hopefully been eating trout fry! If you are fly-fishing, toss out a wooly worm, or some kind of representative streamer. If you are fishing with bait, you can't go wrong with minn...

Is there fishing to be had in Havasu Canyon in either the creek or a pool? I'd hate not to bring my flyrod, then be kicking myself for 4 days!

South Mountain- off trail?
I'm thinking about hiking South Mountain this weekend, and devised a little loop to go on, but it would require off trail hiking...Is off trail hiking allowed, or at least not prohibited in the park? I know that in county parks like Usery, it is not allowed, but I wasn't sure about a municiple park...
