If stopping for a break and taking off your pack, don't lie the pack down with the bladder spout thingie underneath or against a hard surface....(if you see a puddle, it's too late)...and wipe off the mouthpiece or you will get sandy backwash.

Even though its not much of a hike, the VbarV Ranch near the Bell Trail hosts a rock wall of petroglyphs that you can take a 1/2 mile walk to.
