Re: Mindless weather chit chat

Louie, at the Bluebird on Apache Trail, said Thursday night he logged 2 inches of rain. First Water Road is etched with erosion ditches and the washes were carrying good amounts of water... enough to temporarily close Lost Dutchman Blvd @ Goldfield Road. MORE, we want more.

Okwhat is this cave of which you speak???? Sounds quite interesting! Here's a link to Tom Kollenborn's story about the "Cave of a Thousand Eyes". Re: Volunteer Driver for Shuttle Service

I am interested in doing the traverse North to South from Canyon Lake the Peralta Trailhead.
Sorry Stupawx, I'm recovering from knee surgery and don't fit into my truck so good yet. Good luck, that's a nice trip through the Superstitions.

@Alston_Neal I just cringed through the whole video. I wonder how long before you can use the camera again, and what the chances are of it working again.

@Sketch
I don't think you should have much problem finding a hiking partner(s) for a Siphon Draw hike on a Saturday.

@twere If you're looking for a quick overnighter in the Superstitions area try the Hackberry Spring area, it has numerous camping areas with firepits and close to First Water Creek. Pitch the tent then take a scenic hike down the creek and back or hike up to Garden Valley. The area is prone to fair...

Bushwhacked through that area from Black Mesa Trail to Second Water Trail a couple of times and only found lots of old corner markers. It's rough going with the tall grass hiding the sharp rocks and lots of Prickly Pear.
