My daughter wants to overnight in the western Superstitions. We're looking at Indian Paint Mine on the Second Water Trail. Are there one or two 2-person tent sites in that area?
Thanks.

@garyc57
I haven't been since spring, but there were ample signs of camping use there including an established fire ring, and I believe a couple of springy bed frames! There are a couple of flat "pads" that are presumably remnants from when the mine was built which would be suitable for a tent.
If all else fails, you can't go wrong with the 2nd water junction with boulder canyon or the area just west of the La Barge crossing, both just a short distance away.

I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

I think the ground is pretty hard at the Paint Mine and the trail is adjacent to that area. Chums probably has the better choices for tents and access to water. Better check if campfires permitted.

On every trip into the Superstitions, I find another Gold Mine. Today the mine was filled with Memories. I can not wait for the next trip.

Yeh, just a little West of that where the trail crosses Boulder, there is a really nice site off the trail that's much better than what's at the paint mine. Then there are various other good sites of differing quality in the next 1/4 mile between the Second Water/Boulder junction and where it crosses Boulder Creek there near the paint mine. Basically, you have tons of options.
