Re: Is there water at Reavis Ranch?
Hahaha we will make sure to filter the water but no promises that I won't hike a Kiltlifter in with me. Thanks for the info and as I said before sounded like a blast I will have to make it out for a hike soon!

Water availability at Reavis Ranch
I am heading into Reavis Ranch after Thanksgiving dinner (hopefully burn off some Turkey) and was wondering how the water situation looked in Reavis Creek. I would just normally carry everything necessary but after seeing the perks trip report and others i figured someone might be able to help me! S...

Re: Guns on trails in others' hand.
I carry and like others I kind of try to hide it a bit. Some people will be talking to you all nice and notice and things change but I am a completely nice guy and would never fire on someone unless it was just absolutely unavoidable. The main reason I carry it is for a rabid animal or something try...

Re: Missing Boy Scout
Wow I remember once in scouts I actually had nearly the same thing happen to me we were playing capture the flag and I got turned around but luckily we had just had some wilderness survival training. I started panicking and then realized I just needed to sit down and think for a while after what see...

Re: Hiking etiquette with dogs
Raise and train your dog right and we will have no problems. I have never had a problem with dogs on the trail sure they run up to you I don't mind as long as they are friendly. Maybe I am a little more comfortable bc I carry and if something attacks me it is the end for whatever it may be but as lo...

Re: New To Central AZ
Like your two rules for the wilderness DF and also your fireside rule Whiskey and campfire just go together. I would almost say Reavis Ranch around that time may be a little warm just depends on the weather. Allaxandar nice to meet you no offense to everyone else but its nice to see some people more...

I know that some people ruin it for others I have witnessed it myself throughout my many years, but what are we going to do outlaw atvs all together. If you use the same logic we should outlaw hiking since it leaves an impact on the environment and some people abuse it by having fires and throwing t...

Re: Humpherys Hump
I was up there this weekend hiked Humphreys summit Friday and camped Saturday night on the back side of the mountain. When I drove around that area it is so burnt I don't think you would want to go there anyway so sad to see. The road to Weatherford is also closed at least that is what I gathered fr...

I would say Burnt Corral it isn't secluded but it is a very nice spot none the less. I have to agree there aren't to many secluded places along that road but it is beautiful.
