So it looks like there's a fire in Haunted Canyon in the Supes, anyone hear anything? As if enough of the Supes haven't burned yet!

CLINTS WELL, Ariz., June 22, 2021 — The Snake Fire, located about 7 miles west of Clints Well on the northern edge of West Clear Creek is currently 45 acres, and firefighters have lined approximately 80 percent of the fire.

@chumley where'd you see the Snake Fire info? I don't see any fire detections in that area.

So much for the Telegraph and Mescal fires not merging. It's essentially one fire now although I don't think Mescal is doing much now based off of the satellite detections.

Agreed, however with the fuels and drought the way they are I'm sure damage will be significant and it breaks my heart. But I agree, hope for the best.

White Canyon is toast. Won't be surprised to see Telegraph and Mescal merge into another giant complex.

Ugh, burning over the 5 Pools in Devil's. I suppose Oak Flat is a goner now too. Depressing.

Interesting that Inciweb removed the fire perimeter for this fire.

I'm using Mapping Support, not NASA's fire map and it has been very accurate in the past. It does show it both to the west of 87 near Sunflower and across Tonto Creek. I hope it is wrong, but I doubt it.

@ALMAL why wouldn't there be? 188 is going to be a critical fire line. Getting past that is going to unleash hell into the AZ backcountry. We've already lost that entire triangle between 87, 188 and the Salt, I can't imagine if it escapes beyond that.

It's closing in on Weavers Needle if not there already. Major sadness.
