Just saw this on their website. It looks like the closure is at the RR tracks, which are between I-10 and Vail, and so it won't block hikers directly from hitching to Vail. But it will likely reduce the traffic going into Vail. Dates are Mar 13-26

That's still my intent, but I have not made any actual plans or reservations. If you are interested in sharing a shuttle, PM me and we will come up with a plan.

Planning on a Mar 21 start at the border and hiking up to Sunflower or Pine by mid April. Hope to see you all out there.

I am arriving in Tucson from Denver at 10:40AM Mar 21, would be glad to share a ride to the southern terminus. I will want to make a quick stop to pick up some stove alcohol.
