Re: Superstitions Water

I was in Boulder Canyon up to where it joins 2nd Water a couple of weeks ago. Everything is dry. Didn't go up LaBarge, but i don't think I need to. My best advice to anyone looking for water in the Supe's right now is to carry it in.

Re: Reavis Ranch harvest?

@CannondaleKid I think I'd be more inclined to take an old Jeep Compass up that road than a new one 😁 Nonetheless, from what I can remember it was in worse condition than when I last traveled on that road, maybe 6 months prior. @Jim_H
The Pinal's didn't seem too bad yesterday and there wasn't a soul to be seen at any of the trailheads up FR 112. Only saw 2 or 3 trucks going in or out.

@SuperstitionGuy
I was out there on 6/20 and I don't remember seeing much development on the one Apple tree it stopped by for a few minutes.

@friendofThundergod
"The horsey people" has got me laughing this morning. They are a cult and one with lots and lots of money. At least they have a name I can live with now.

Re: Tonto NF and Land Management

Isn't this like asking which deck chair on the Titanic is comfiest? What government agency provides exceptional management and stewardship without an explicit economic interest? Mt. Hood NF and many of the best run forests in the Pacific Northwest are well run within the context of timber production...

Corb Lund has got a new album, Agricultural Tragic. Good stuff for country music fans with a sense of humor. Grizzly Bear Blues reminded me to never be the slowest hiker in bear country.

How do you feel about doing some on trail education for the newbies? Not confrontational but educational.
