I plan on hitting Sabino Canyon on Monday June 2nd to look for snakes and stuff. I'll be biking Sabino around dusk and then will comb the area on foot and maybe returning back on the bike for a once over. I don't think there will be much out, since it's so dry, but it's worth a shot.
I plan on leaving Phoenix no later than 3pm and hitting Sabino from 5pm to midnight. I then plan on hitting Mount Lemon on June 3rd. Since I'll be taking my bike, I'll only have room for one person in my car if you want to car pool and split gas and such. I'm not familar with Mt Lemon, so I could use someone who is familar with the trail system. I'd prefer someone who doesn't mind going at a medium pace, and is able to hike quietly without talking too much. I probably will shower at LA Fitness and can maybe get you in there for a shower too, but am not sure when I'll return. I'd like to return Tuesday night, possibly hitting Sabino a second time before returning home. I do need to be home Tuesday night because I have to take someone to the airport Wednesday morning.
Anyway, I can use some advice on what trails are recommended on Mt. Lemon if you have any advice to share. I like flat hike with little change in elevation and areas that were not burned recently. I also plan on hitting Sabino on June 9th around the same time if you're interested in that trip, but I'll see how this trip goes.

I read this several times and can't figure out what your plan is. Since bikes are allowed in Sabino only in the evenings, I'm assuming you'll be driving up Catalina Highway in the early morning for a hike near Mt. Lemmon? How far up do you want to drive? Most of the trails have a lot of ups and downs. The fires 11 or so years ago improved a lot of the hikes. A good map of the Catalinas is available at Summit Hut.
