Tonto NF on way to fire called the Barnhardt Fire sounds lightning caused lots of equipment on the way to it from the 87. I got an alert on my phone about it.
"I hope we have once again reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There's a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts."

Noted wildland crews heading south out of Payson around noon. Helitack helicopter at the Payson airport looked like it was getting ready for a mission. Also observed a crew from BLM Nevada in town.
