I'm not much into arizona flags and stuff, but the patch sounds good to me, i'd so a HAZ patch on my backpack. I have a hikearizona.com sticker on my car, so my car is haz marked.

A thought occured to me. Does it have to be a Arizona bandana? Could we use anything with the Arizona colors, a hat pin, a patched sewed on a vest, or anything one can find.

Just FYI... I bought an AZ flag bandana today at Craftsmart in Chandler for $1.49. This after I found out today that Kristyn and I met AridTom yesterday on top of Flatiron. He even took our picture and none of us knew who eachother was!!! Amazing... such a small world. So, now I have my AZ flag bandana and I will be sporting it on all my hikes from now on!!

We be sportin' the colors also.

Bandanna, patch, pin, guess it's just a personal preference. Maybe we should just do what we want on this eh? Just stick with the AZ thang.

Maybe, along with sportin' our colors, we could have a "gang sign" too...

Maybe a "hi sign" like the Little Rascals? Most of you remember I'm sure.

Seems we have most of the characters, or facsimiles, right here... :D

Thought that was the 3 Stooges, but I guess I'm showing my age! I haven't picked up my AZ bandanna yet, but will have it by the end of the week.

You must be thinking of the Stooges' "top of the head slap and zoom" schtick.

Close. :D

Now, if I remember correctly, the Rascals also had and an "under the chin" wave. Any takers?

apparently a HAZ member will be able to be identified by chaffed thighs(see other posts)

May I submit for review from another unnamed website the following ad. This was posted by a person with the alias "CK1"

"The following items are for sale:

HikeArizona.Com t-shirt white xl slightly used
HikeArizona.Com decal black slightly used
HikeArizona.Com pens ball point never used

Best Offer!

I like the arizona bandana----Where would one purchase one.
I would also be willing to sew on an HAZ patch to my pack.

I think we need some of those things like they wear on Survivor......I used to own a silkscreen business and have a buddy up here who I may be able to coerce into printing some bandanas with HAZ on them.........just a thought.....

I posted this on one of the other threads, but it really belongs here;

As to the identification thing, there actually are some of us who have taken to the Arizona bandanna flag as the way to be identified as a HAZ'er. Just look around. The bandanna may be in the back mesh pocket of a Camelbak, around the neck of my Weimaraner, Zefi, or as a headband! It can be a neat way to run into people who you have a lot in common with.

Just think about the alternative outcomes in the aforementioned adventure had members of the two parties seen something so recognizable as the Arizona flag silk-screened on a bandanna...

Some friends got mine at one of the Valley's local Army surplus stores.

It would be pretty cool though to have a HAZ patch on my pack that matches the sticker on the back of my truck (Joe?)!

I seem to recall from years ago (B.H. Haz) when people used to use a bandanna or AZ flag on their pack to identify Haz members. I know we did it on a White Tanks hike in 2K1.

Put me down for whatever everyone agrees on. I think it's a great idea. Every time I go hiking, I always wonder if the people passing me( ) are haz members. :D
