Looking for my 100th HAZ hiking partner
About 67,219,200 seconds ago....I joined HAZ. As I type, the seconds will turn to minutes and...NEways during that time, I've hiked with 39 registered HAZ members. PM if you want to hike this Friday and be number 40 or if you've already hiked with me and "still" want to do a hike. I hear the wildflowers are nice in the McDowells now.

Re: Looking for my 100th HAZ hiking partner
Just remember # 1, buddy. I thought I was a tough hiker before that trip....
I still remember the story you told me about making a bonfire out of the boots you and your classmates used to run in. Burning boots seems so much better than burning books.
I can't believe I only have 4 trips with you and Denny, much less 10 with Joe and 9 with Stiller. I do believe, however, that I've done 25 hikes with rdavisiii. Next summer in the Grand Canyon will be # 26 and more.

Sign me up. Also, my brother has dragged me on a few runs that felt a lot like that. But when he's paying for the way up the mountain, I usually just go along with whatever the way down is. The nice thing is that it's usually so cold that the poo doesn't really mess my pants before turning into a solid, easy-to-remove brick.

Let me know if you make it to Colorado. Particularly A basin, Keystone, Breck, Vail and Beaver Creek. Plan on making up for last year. Btw, I was kicking myself on Quandary in May for not dragging the board I had in the truck up with me. The bowl below the summit was untracked and deep. Have shovel and transceiver.

Will do....
on another note.....10 days and I'm still 3 partners short of my primary 2014 goal to reach 100 partners. Don't everyone respond at once

How high could you get in May? I figured even the TH might still be covered. The view from higher up would be really something with snow on the ground.MtnBart01 wrote:tw, I was kicking myself on Quandary in May for not dragging the board I had in the truck up with me.

All the way! There was some post holing in the trees, but it would have been rideable from the top back to the truck
