Cool shot at 0:14. Anyone know where that is? Maybe Peter's Canyon?

Re: Legend of the Superstition Mountains
Outside filming is possible. Some regulations on commercial activity in Designated Wilderness Areas (including filming) were set to expire in October 2014. Even if the nature of the filming might have been OK, the production company might have preferred to avoid the associated logistical problems. They still won't be able to bring in vehicles, run generators, etc. They could probably throw in the occasional scene with battery-powered camera, hand-held or mounted on portable tripod (no fancy crane contraptions) with battery-powered or natural light. I doubt anyone would want to commit to doing a whole show that way.skillpore wrote:Unless its not entirely filmed in the supes?
EDIT: I'm not sure if the proposed new regulations were adopted, the previous ones were extended, or some other approach was taken.

I don't know, but movies from hikes you're on are usually pretty impressive. Until you show up. ;)Dave1 wrote:Cool shot at 0:14. Anyone know where that is?

Re: Legend of the Superstition Mountains
One of those shots in the trailer was from the Fish Creek Bridge and that is probably the closest to the Wilderness that their photographers will be authorized to go.
Another dumb media event that is only going to result in more idiots entering the mountains looking for the gold and finding their own place of death or injury. SAR activity is going to be picking up after this is over for sure!

Re: Legend of the Superstition Mountains
Go to this website page 6 about halfway down and the user somehiker talks about it. Apparently it is pretty much where the show itself talks about it. A side canyon on or near Black Cross Butte. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/treas ... nel-6.html
His post was at this time "Mar 08, 2015, 11:30 PM " and look for the words "bat cave"...
Take the time to follow the posts to the bottom of the page and read about their comments about the bat cave.
Very interesting.... Two of the posters are characters (actors) in the show. See if you can figure out who they are....

And this HAZ picture of a possible stone house foundation may have been the one used in this program as well.
