Unless soloing it, I would like to do a shuttle hike up either Ventana to Window Peak, and down Esperero to Sabino Canyon, or the same high in reverse order. Prefer Saturday, but open to Sunday. If interested, we could work out the details.
FYI, reversing the flow from Sabino to Ventana puts you in the deeper, and therefore shadier and cooler Ventana Canyon in the afternoon, but it gives you 200 more feet of AEG, GPS Joe hiked this on 5/26/2008 and produced a route with just over 5,000' of AEG when going from Sabino to Ventana, but only 4800' when going the other direction.
I lean Sabino to Ventana.
