Telephone Trail #103. Easy hike down to the creek. Camp site dependent on availability. It could be 1.5 miles. Might be 3 miles if other people are there.
Fishing is optional but hopefully somebody will catch dinner and share
(Note: Chevelon Creek has a 2 Trout limit)
Day hike to the lake is 3-4 miles one-way. Upstream can be explored as far as you want. Or you can sit in a grassy meadow and relax next to Chevelon Creek. Fishing is optional.
I might drive up Friday night and camp near TH but really only plan to be at the creek on Saturday and hike out Sunday afternoon.
Getting to this TH REQUIRES high clearance. (Alternately you may hike up to 1.75mi additional on the road)
I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

You're not allowed to throw HAZfests in May anymore, it always Snows....
Lifeis not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming,"Wow What a Ride!"
I'm curious how the trip was for you guys? I ended up heading to the Rim to help out a family member. I tried to sneak over to Woods Canyon Lake Saturday afternoon for some fishing. There had to of been about a foot of snow on the ground and it was still falling.
