Flagstaff parking

Thoughts on a good place to park cars in Flagstaff while we hike from the Northern Terminus.

I can confirm we park cars for three weeks in airport parking for river trips. Have done it several times.

I've seen your vehicle. If there were any car thieves desperate enough to consider stealing your car, they would quickly come to their senses, and leave you a fifty dollar bill instead, figurin' you need it more than them.

Thanks chumley, we were told by the lady that is dropping us off that Buffalo park would be good and I'm not sure I trust that. I heard about the airport and that is what we were planning but have not been able to get ahold of anyone there. Anyway it looks like the airport it is and I will figure it out when I get there. Thanks again

A few years ago we rafted the Colorado River and stayed at the Super 8 in Flagstaff the night before and after our 30-day trip. They let all of our group park there for free during the time on the river. No charge. No trouble. And nice hot showers...

If you want to just pay a fee in order to feel more secure, parking in a secured lot with a fence around it and a locked gate may be available. Call Brady Black at Moenkopi River Works. He just might be amenable to the idea IF he has room. It's on the east side of town at 5355 N Dodge Ave. 928-526-6622.

As for the airport, SAMBA, parked some brand-new vehicles there. Not mine!
