Leonard Canyon Mogollon area
Just a question Do they close the access roads for Leonard Canyon and Mogollon Rim Rd in the winter?

Re: Leonard Canyon Mogollon area
Rim Road and the southern roads near the end of Leonard Canyon at Knoll Lake are closed in the winter. I'm not sure about access to Leonard Point at East Clear Creek though.

Re: Leonard Canyon Mogollon area
FR95 usually is closed during winter prior to or at the crossing, so I think the answer is yes, but you could call the FS to confirm.

Re: Leonard Canyon Mogollon area
All the dirt forest roads off highways 260, 87 and FH3 (Lake Mary Rd) are closed after the first snow of the season and remain closed until spring melt. This is primarily to prevent damage to the roads.
Sometimes they stay open if there are early snows and hunting season is still in swing.

The Coconino NF website is fairly good at keeping the road status updated. In my experience it's rarely more than a few days out of date. See this page: http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/coconino/ ... rdb5341627
