http://www.nps.gov/grc...Phantom Ranch will begin water conservation measures Sunday, October 18 that will last the duration of the project, but drinking water will continue to be available. Drinking water will be unavailable at Bright Angel and Cottonwood campgrounds, Roaring Springs, and Manzanita Rest Area (formerly Pumphouse Residence) during the shutdown. Day hikers and backpackers should be prepared to carry all drinking water or be able to treat creek water for drinking.

My time on the north side of the river will be Oct 26 - 29, and then the night of the 29th at IG, and if they stick to their schedule (ha) they should be finished by then. But I'm bringing a water filter for sure.
