just throwing this out there, regarding tent zippers. there are places in the valley that will repair for a small fee. i believe REI "used to" do it.. but maybe hiking shack still does.

I have had success at shoe repair establishments for tent and pack repair. Recently i used a gal that I found on craigslist - she put a zipper in my old, trusty Golite down jacket for $12 (I had bought the zipper online for $6).

Good info on the zipper, I've got another tent that we love that the zippers are clogging on. May look in to that since its a favorite. The tent and pack have been claimed.
