Good afternoon my dudes. I have managed to secure a decent stretch of time off from work from late June-early August and was thinking of doing a thru hike northbound. I have good experience in hiking and generally being outdoors, enough to know that input from locals/past hikers can be really valuable.
In a nutshell, is it worth attempting the hike in the summer? I would really appreciate input from anyone who has done it this time of year.

In a nutshell, no.
The desert sections are simply too hot, and the lack of reliable water sources can easily become life threatening. You will have a difficult time finding anybody who has through-hiked June-August!
