LOVED horton springs. What should we do next?

Post by codyiscool »

We backpacked and camped and it was awesome. Looking for some ideas on our next one. I was suggested the cabin loop but it was really boring and not very pretty. Is there anything you suggest I look into?

It's hard to recommend unless you identify what you like vs what you don't. The cabin loop has its charm but if you visit late summer before the trees turn it is a little drab. But recommendations here are also going to try to avoid difficult trips until you build up your triplogs. If you like out and back trips that go near streams, perhaps you might like Fossil Creek (with a permit) or Aravaipa (with a permit).

The Cabin Loop is one of those areas that demands a little exploration to find it's hidden gems. You might like Chevalon Canyon or the Tonto Fish Hatchery to Knoll Lake on the Babe Haught Trail.
