Good hikes near Dallas
I'm in Dallas for a conference. I have a solid afternoon and evening free for a hike. Have car, so I can travel. Any suggestions on a good hike in the general vicinity?

I spent six weeks camping at Cedar Hill State Park. I know they have a trail system there but, as I was there during a particularly wet winter, they were all under water. Nice respite from the city, though. As I recall, it's about a 20 minute drive southwest of downtown, on US 67.

I would like to help you out DDG but the only hiking I have done down there is between all the different terminals at the DFW airport. Some of them were quite extensive as a matter of fact!!!!!

The Houston airport has much better hiking than DFW, FWIW.SuperstitionGuy wrote:the only hiking I have done down there is between all the different terminals at the DFW airport.
