I've seen various comments on this site about social media publicizing cool outdoors places, which then attracts the masses - sometimes with bad results. I just read this article which shows an interesting example of it.

I've been of the opinion for a while that the downside of the information age is that all that information rarely includes context. Information in a vacuum can be quite dangerous. It's not just limited to Instagram photos and nature either.“The unfortunate thing is, with those pictures, there’s nothing informing people that you could get seriously hurt here, too.”
Interesting article though.
