Shelters with no zippers

Is anyone using, or aware of, a tent or hammock setup that has no zippers whatsoever? I have had a bad experience with the zippers on my tents only lasting 3-5 years.

Arizona's dust is brutal on zippers. I will say that despite the zippers failing over time, Big Agnes has fixed my tent and fly zippers on several occasions now. They charge a whopping $5, which I consider reasonable for returning it to like-new slide n glide.

I wonder what other methods of closure might exist. Hook n loop? That would wear out over time too, plus get all kinds of other stuff caught in it. Buttons don't seem practical as it wouldn't provide a secure seam, and would take a long time to fasten and unfasten.

I wonder if there's a ridge and groove type connector that would work. Similar to a plastic food storage bag.

Hennessy hammocks makes a bottom entry with Velcro.

A couple Tarptent models use Velcro instead of zippers. I can't remember which ones.
