babe haught, conflicting water source info

Post by inthesticks »

coworker tells me there’s water sources on the way there, but the map here doesn’t show any. sorry for such a silly question maybe i’m not using the map right. im a noob=\

anyways i want to know if there’s water besides the lake. also when i get to the lake can i use my water filter in the lake?

thanks in advance. the maps on here are hard to use on mobile and my laptop is broke =\

@inthesticks
There is no reliable water source between the Tonto Fish Hatchery and Knoll Lake.

There are some drainages at the top of the rim that might have a trickle after rain or snowmelt as well as the drainage that runs into the lake, but I wouldn't count on it. A cattle tank near the rim might also have water but I'd avoid it.

You can filter from the lake just fine.

Tonto Creek (pretty much right where you'd start) generally has water, which has little value since you can just bring it with you in your vehicle. But from there I'd only plan on the lake like Chumley says.
