One of the founders of the Southern Arizona Hiking Club and a hiking legend down here in Southern Arizona. I'm glad I got to hike with him occasionally over the years.

Wow, glad to see he's still alive. Used to man the counter at a video store in the mid-80's and his family lived close by. Would see his daughter all the time and see him occasionally. Unfortunately wasn't into outdoor stuff back then and never had the opportunity to chat with him about anything other than what's the latest new VHS movie we have in stock.

Not a word about Eber Glendening, the other club founder, who actually showed up at that first Hutch's Pool hike, whereas Pete did not. Eber's efforts with the Bulletin and other things kept the club going. Just a small mention in that article would have been appropriate.
