Superstition Ridgeline week of 1/21
Hi HAZ Fam,
I will be in town next week and am interested in doing the Superstition Ridgeline on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Semi-late start time (8-9 AM). I will have a car so will need one more to set up a shuttle. Let me know if you are available and interested!!

I've been itching to do this one recently. I'm available Tuesday and Thursday, but not Wednesday.

Shall we say Tuesday then? I've only done from Carney to Flatiron, other direction might be my preference. Meet at Carney Springs at 8 to set up shuttle? I will have a compact car aka up to four ppl if I'm driving.

I'll throw my hat in to scare some people off.
Carney Springs is the usual spot to start 5057, correct? I'm interested, as it is a little closer than a Catalina hike, and different for me, and I've been yearning for a longer hike. Why would 9 am be a late start? Seems like the entire hike shouldn't take very long. Even adding in additional miles from the Cross Cut TH.

I'm good with Tuesday. And I can drive too. 5 can fit in the taco, plus a couple out back if needed. I can leave my truck at Carney. I can do that earlier too, so if somebody else wants to help with the shuttle we all get to LDSP at 8, ready to go.

@rally_toad
I don't know that I can go Monday evening. It looks like we might end up with enough people that somebody else will be able to help in the morning. If not, setting the shuttle at 8 isn't terrible. It does make me smile a little bit to think of Jim having to leave his house at 7am! I mean, that's before the sun rises...

@chumley
You know I leave my house for work before 7, right?
Is Lost Dutchman SP going to be used, and not the Cross Cut? Depending on flexibility, I can leave my car at the Carnival Springs.

@Jim_H
I was anticipating using Crosscut th so we don't have to fork out money to park. I guess we could use Lost Dutchman if someone has a State Parks pass.

Yeah, I'm not one to pay to park at the Park just to leave cars there. I've been sick since the 12th or so, and work this weekend, and I wont' really be able to commit until Sunday or Monday, in case that matters. That said, I would enjoy this as I've never done it.

Bummer I’m in town 26th and 27th. Would’ve liked to do this one. It’s been awhile since I’ve done the Ridgeline.

Alright sounds like the plan is for most folks to meet at Crosscut on Tuesday at 8. Keep me posted if you need help setting up shuttle.

I am from Tucson, so where and what is Crosscut?
Re: Superstition Ridgeline week of 1/21
@Pivo Look at the driving directions for the Massacre Falls hike, that’s the parking area for Crosscut. Lots of people park there now to avoid paying the Lost Dutchman State Park admission fee.
