Rappelling off the end of the Rope is a much more common Mistake with Climbers than Canyoneers. How both of those Climbers didn't die was some kind of Miracle. It's a shame to lose a World Class Climber in such a way.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"
