What's your jam?
What do you like to listen to when out hiking? Saw an ad for the noxgear 39g advertised as, "The world's lightest, loudest, longest-lasting wearable Bluetooth speaker." Currently offered for only $79.95.

On a more serious note your little story has a lot to do with my affinity for solo backpacking trips, but also why I don't clog my ears with headphones. Though I do admit to playing podcasts on my phone's speaker at lower than the volume of a normal human speaking voice on occasion when I'm ready for the day to be over with. I am amazed by how many times I I have been startled by rattlesnakes on trail and can't imagine making the choice to not be able to hear the rattle.

Corb Lund has got a new album, Agricultural Tragic. Good stuff for country music fans with a sense of humor. Grizzly Bear Blues reminded me to never be the slowest hiker in bear country.

The new theme song around our house is "I Think You Oughta Try Whiskey" by Corb Lund. I'm a whiskey guy and my wife drinks gin, describes us pretty well.
