Daisy Fire

Post by LosDosSloFolks »

Just saw DC-10 tankers flying over our house heading towards New River. New fire in the National Forest...

Yes. That same video is embedded in the link I posted. The videographer almost got covered in surfactant!

I think this might also be called the Central Fire. At least that’s what it’s being called on the Tonto National Forest Facebook page

@kelly14
Yes, different websites are calling it by different names. Daisy and Central Fire appear the most common.

@AZWanderingBear 's area is near a brush fire that flared up this afternoon (Aquila (AZ-A4S) - new, 50 acres - located in area of Tramonto, AZ). I saw it on my way home.

According to officials with the Department of Forestry and Fire Management, additional resources and aircraft are en route to battle the fire. Wind conditions are causing the fire to spread, according to officials with Daisy Mountain Fire and Medical.

Wade said fire came within 150 yards of his home.

From what I saw on the news, they fought this one fast and hard.

I was wondering about them! Glad it turned out ok!

That's awfully close. I haven't talked to Wade for quite a while now.
