Re: McDowell Fire?
@LosDosSloFolks
Here's this mornings update from the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy sent to Stewards. The City of Scottsdale provides this information.
"Just a brief update to share that the southern Preserve will remain closed through end of Sunday. Unless the situation gets worse these trailheads will reopen at 5.20 am on Monday. For clarity this includes the entire southern half of the Preserve encompassing the following trailheads.
Tom’s Thumb
104th and Bell
Gateway
Lost Dog Wash
Quartz
Ringtail
Sunrise
There remains a significant team of fire fighting experts on scene. The impacted area is now almost 500 acres but did not spread last night. Today's low winds are helping further."
I suggest checking the Cities website before driving to these trailheads.
