We would be wise to wait for the official notice from a HAZ member that has been there.hikeaz wrote:You can check the respective park's website for updates, but we know how THAT goes.

Re: Post Covid NPS 'reopenings'
I've had reservations for next week at Bonita Canyon for a while now ... when they didn't cancel/refund a few weeks out (like they have all the others), I knew the reopening was coming. Will be nice to be one of the first to use the campground after so many months closed!

@skillpore
Following guidance from the CDC in consultation with National Park Service Public Health Offices, Chiricahua National Monument has modified visitor services. Until further notice:
The Visitor Center will remain closed through October 4, 2020. Park maps, hiking guides, and other information are available outside the Visitor Center.
The Visitor Center will open on October 5, 2020. The VC will be open 7 days a week, 8:30-4:30.
Bonita Canyon Campground is open. Reservations can be made through recreation.gov.
