Mask Mandate On Federal Lands?
I don't want to argue or get lost in the weeds in a mask/no mask debate. But I'm reading Joe Biden's first Executive Order and it is a 100 day mask mandate on all federal property and lands. Can't find any source online to define what that is. Anyone have a link to confirm or deny if this will extend to hiking trails on Forest Service, NPS, BLM or other federal entities here in the state? I know the intent is primarily for federal buildings and such to protect the workplace.

They are, Interior vs Agriculture. So, the order isn't in effect on BLM lands, but would be on USFS lands. As if there is any reason to have the order in effect on Mazatzal Peak, or pretty much anywhere I hike.

Justice Roberts just announced that masks are not required on lands controlled by the federal judiciary.

^ That's a joke. As is this whole thing, and every irrelevant and pointless comment about it.

National Park Service falls under Department of the Interior. US Forest Service falls under US Department of Agriculture. Both are Federal Agencies with leadersip (secretaries) sitting as members of the cabinet.

So does that mean we need to wear a mask while driving up to Phoenix?

"I am not no eXpert" appears so, and also for commuters/ travelers on any interstate roadway system.

I like to wear a mask when driving up to Phoenix to try and obscure the Phoenix stench.

that will work as long as you wear a mask over the bag...you will then be doubly protected!Jim_H wrote:I've just decided to put a plastic bag over my head to take of the problem once and for all!

I already wear a mask. Will that do....

Re: Mask Mandate On Federal Lands?
Is congress is capable of controlling anything, much less any federal lands? Their job isn't to control, just to enact laws, same as the house. It's the executive branch's job to do the controlling, er, execution of those laws.DixieFlyer wrote: ↑Jan 21 2021 7:46 am I would think that national parks and forests are under congressional control, but I could be wrong on that.

Is the House not part of Congress? Does anybody questioning any of this actually know anything about our government and how it operates?
