Found this the other day: [ photo ]
The camera itself is in bad shape but I was able to pry the battery door open and remove/clean the sd card and presto!! Pix were dated late 2011-early 2012.
I was hoping for climbing pictures on Three Sisters but there were none from that area. The two chaps in the pictures did some exploring in the Supes though: Ermahgerd, Weaver's, Rogers Canyon, Reavis Falls to name a few. And one did some mining and the other (possibly) bicycling. A different person in one of the pix was wearing Edmonton Oilers apparel. I don't want to post pictures of them but maybe this will jog someone's memory:
Hopefully this will be enough to identify them and return their stuff. If not I will post more pix.

A 2009 model, retailed for $329. Going price on eBay today ~$35. The owner presumably lived in Arizona since the time was set to GMT-7. Unless there are photos on the SD card that the owner considers to be a valuable memory, it's probably not considered much of a loss at this point.
I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

Re: Camera [FOUND] Below Three Sisters after 10 years
It might be nice to get photos back to its owner. I don't think that posting a picture of the people's faces is out of line if the intent is to identify the camera owner, and will go much further than playing guessing games about which Superstitions Mountain valley is in some photo.

Re: Camera [FOUND] Below Three Sisters after 10 years
I once found a camera in 2015 in the Superstitions that was lost in 2010 and was able to recover the SD card. There were only a few photos on it, all showing the scenery where it was lost. However I used software found on the WEB to recover erased photos and from those recovered photos, with help from a HAZ member, the owner was identified and contacted. [ Found: Camera ] A fun exercise but there were no photos, erased or otherwise, that the owner needed although I did send him all the photos. The plus side was that the camera owner knew a lot about the Superstitions and was able to answer some questions I had about curious road beds in the aera where I found the camera - from fire fighting many years ago.
