----------- original post below ------------
Update: A-S NF enacting a full closure beginning 6/24.

Update: A-S NF goes to Stage 2 beginning 6/11

Apache-Sitgreaves are the first National Forests in the state to enact restrictions, effective tomorrow May 7, 2021.
These Stage 1 Restrictions are set to expire December 31, 2021.
Read the official forest order here: https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DO ... 909204.pdf

The public land agencies in the Southwest have made yet another attempt at consolidating restriction information in one (woefully poor attempt at an) easy to use website.
Needless to say, it does not yet reflect the announced ASNF restriction. Perhaps it will tomorrow when it takes effect?
You may visit this consolidated source of fire restriction data at this link.

Effective today, the Kaibab Forest will implement stage 2 fire restrictions.

In addition, the Kaibab Forest has closed the Bill Williams watershed:

In conjunction with the Kaibab NF Stage 2 fire restrictions, the Bill Williams Mountain Watershed will enter into a CLOSURE. This order is necessary to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires and protect the public health & safety from exposure to wildland fire and associated hazards in the Bill Williams Mtn watershed.

These order are in effect on June 11, 2021, at 8:00 a.m., and shall remain in effect until August 30, 2021, or until rescinded, whichever occurs first.

NOTE: Trails in this area are closed and not open to the public. Please review the map for exact area is closed. Trails include Benham Trail #38; Bill Williams Mountain Trail #21; Bixler Saddle Trail #72; Buckskinner Trail #130; City of Williams Link Trail #124; Clover Spring Loop Trail #46; Bill Williams Connector Trail #140; Devil Dog Loop Mtn Bike #117.

@azbackpackr was wondering about this. We were surprised it hadn't been closed yet. Now, we know.

Well I'm in Idaho right now! And it's cold up here! I hope we get some rain around Flagstaff by the time I move back there. I didn't get to do my annual Benham Trail hike last year because I missed the narrow window when that trail was open.

This is only my 3rd summer out here, and I can't recall the last two having this many closures this early on.

Where does everyone typically look to backpack when this sort of thing happens? Is out of state or (literally) greener pastures the only real option?
