Got hooked on this series' on the sabi sands lions---

This is just a short intro but the animal planet clips are pretty awesome. These lions were something else. Some pretty brutal scenes but interesting too. There is a full documentary out there somewhere.

Perhaps a draw back for hiking solo and mostly at night, a concern but more concerned about access.

Have you seen the Werner Herzog documentary on the 'Grizzly Man' Timothy Treadwell? He lived for several years among grizzly bears. Spoiler alert: it doesn't end well.
