"A drunk man who had been reported missing spent hours with a search party looking for himself, report says"-- actual title of article. Apparently a few years ago a woman joined a search for herself in Iceland not recognizing her own description.

This is a literary "cartoon". So I'll put it here.

Re: What's Your Favorite Color
Sorry not a cartoon but wanted to post it somewhere. It's a political article but the writing I find is somewhat hysterical. It seems anyone can be a journalist nowadays. This was in a piece referencing Portland Oregon crime problem.
"Between the violent insurrection that leftist protesters waged against its federal courthouse, which lasted for weeks last summer, and the violence that petty criminals are inflicting on innocent citizens, the Rose City just isn't a nice place to be anymore. Its hip, urban environment has suddenly seen its average home price eclipsed by Boise, a remote and backward potato-growing hub in the middle of a neighboring state’s high desert."
This is an apt description of Boise?? What??

Well, the guy was accused of taking over $1,400. from the United States Federal Government! I mean, $1,400!!!!
I'm sure the investigation and prosecution cost in excess of $100,000. but he took money from the Government!!
I mean, the Federal Government can tax you endlessly, they can print up money like there is no tomorrow so that about 80% of the money currently in existence did not even exist 3 years ago, and can they destroy your money with double digit inflation, but he took $1,400. from the United States Federal Government! Too bad this guy doesn't have a massive propaganda apparatus, he could blame Putin for all of his failures, too.
eXeCUte HIM!!

Re: What's Your Favorite Color
Oh, so, the investigation probably was well over $1 Million! Easily twice that for the prosecution, too. Strange that the report had no estimate for the total amount reported stolen from those other locations, and chose to settle on $1,400. as if it were some great victory in law enforcement. What a pathetic joke of the Federal apparatus.
Fine work! Justifying those lucrative Federal jobs. I'm glad we have a bloated government to perform these services to the citizenry.
Too bad this guy didn't have a direct line to the Fed, he could have a billion dollars and no one would notice or care.
