The old Yankee Stadium's Center field used to be refereed to as "Death Valley". That's the only other National Park for batting practice I know.

A long time ago a guy caught a ball dropped from the top of the Washington Monument. https://timesmachine.nytimes.com/timesm ... geNumber=4. I remember reading somewhere that he lost a couple teeth. More recently Gronk caught a football dropped 600' from a helicopter https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/313 ... foot-catch. I can imagine (well actually I can't) that a ball hit from the rim caught by his accomplice (preferably in a moving dory) would generate a lot of "likes".
