Moved from CA to AZ in 2005 with the expectation that opportunities for quality outdoor recreation would be diminished. But thanks in no small part to this fantastic website and its many great contributors, I've had 16+ years of more and better adventures in an amazing variety of new environments. Now we're moving back to CA to be closer to family, especially aging parents, and fortunate that we'll be living in the foothills of my beloved Sierra Nevadas. But I've still got a few AZ hikes on my wish list so I'd imagine we'll be back now and again, and I'll still be checking HAZ regularly. Cheers!

Re: so long AZ and THANK YOU HAZ!
I think I can speak for most of us and wish you well in your new venture. It's been a pleasure having you on the site. Thx for helping out so many times with the Arizona Trail too; especially filling those spots on AZT in a Day. Be sure and post up some of the hiking you will be doing.
Good luck!

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.

Best wishes in your move, and hope to see you post your CA hikes on HAZ as well!

You like creek related hiking in particular and I have gleaned much from your posts around West clear creek and other high country waterways, that I end up fishing at some point. Thanks and Safe Travels.

It was nice unexpectedly running into you in the middle of the Hellsgate Wilderness at a random spot near Haigler Creek a few years back! Happy hiking in CA!

You will be missed around here! Looking forward to triplogs from the Sierras! Make time to visit over New Year's next year, I should be having the Annual Hike next year if things go well and as scheduled in July.
