Tent Zipper Replacement?
Does anyone know who might replace a tent zipper? Our large Kelty tent (11 x 11) needs one. I hate to toss it out but I haven't found anyone to take on the task. Petty sure it needs to be resewn.

@Sredfield
I have worked in the industry of making backpacks and other gear for firefighters. A lot of times we did repairs as well. I can tell you that it would probably cost about as much as the tent is worth to have the zipper removed and a new one sewn in.
You could check the Kelty website to see if they have a repair department.
You could order the replacement zipper from someplace like zippers. com, and then get an upholstery shop to do the work, maybe. It would not be cheap.

Re: Tent Zipper Replacement?
@Sredfield Is it blown or just rough? We got fine dust in our awning room last year and it would open and close, but not seal. I blew the dust out and used some bar soap and it seems to be working again. We’ve considered sewing Velcro into that doorway if it decides to stop working.

Rainypass Repair is great for this sort of thing but to the point previously made, not sure the cost would be worth it. Never hurts to check, of course. They're who REI recommends and I've used them before (albeit for washing my quilts, not repair)
