Depends on when you are planning to do these...
Chiricahuas are great any time ...

In response to heatherpeak's reply:

You could always do a super early morning hike into the superstitions when you swing thru PHX. There are quite a few short trails that will let you sample Superstitions....

In response to desertgirl's reply:
I kinda was thinking that....our last couple of days are open, so that could be a consideration...I remember being in Apache Junction a few years ago and "seeing" the Superstitions, but never got to go into them....
Thanks for the advice!

If you're wanting to conquer something, better make it the Chiricahuas.
The Superstitions have some nasty surprises in store for anyone who thinks they can conquer them.

In response to Wiz's reply:

I use the word "conquer" loosely....it just sounds more exciting!

I know! I didn't mean my reply to sound as ominous as it did.

I have done both and have to tell you there is NOTHING like the Chiricahuas! Make sure to stop at Fort Bowie also.

I love the Supes, but it's too dang hot right now. Some may get away with waking up at 3 AM and finishing hiking by 9AM, but that's not for me!
