At 9,453', this classic sky island is the highest point in the Santa Rita Mountains south of Tucson. Starting in beautiful Madera Canyon, this popular loop trail climbs, often very steeply, through forests of oak, pine, and aspen to finally reward us with spectacular 360* views of Southern Arizona and Mexico. There's water available at two small springs that are en-route. We'll follow the more gradual Super Trail up, and return on the steeper Baldy Trail. Bring lunch, water, waterproof jacket and a good camera.
