Hi I have a ride set up to take me to the res. gate on
the road to S. Bass but there is the possibility the guy may balk with a Prius. Therefore Im wondering if anyone knows of a ride I could hire to the
gate just in case. Doing a gems hike s bass to hermit have to pick up my truck from S. Bass afterward. Also Ive usually biked the route from the gate to the trailhead using the dirt road that runs along the barbed wire fence line which then connects to what I believe is called pasture wash rd. near the old ranger station. Im not sure if that route is the best option in a four runner though. If anyone has a better route please let me know, thanks -Rob

FS 328 to the gate is in great shape. I drove my Camry on it last fall and would have no hesitation about a Prius. The road along the fence is very rough but a 4runner should make it.
