Dwellings, petroglyphs, etc in superstitions?

Post by overthehillsfaraway »

I know of Rogers canyon, haven't been there yet. Are there other sites worth visiting within 1 or 2 days hike (say, 20 mile radius) near the west side? Not asking for gps or anything but hints are always welcome 🤗

Pretty much any part of the Superstitions wilderness is accessible if you do a 3 day backpack trip and have access to any trailhead, probably 90% is reachable in 2 days. For the average hiker at least.

Find->trailDEX filter -> more (center bottom of filter options), Set Ruins to yes. Set Wilderness to Superstitions. Set month to either any month or the month you plan to hike.

Marvel at the results.

Heed note of whether distance is listed as one way or round trip. Tailor to your abilities accordingly.
