Re: Lookout Mountain Bee Attack
I hike in the Mountain View Park area (Sunnyslope - in the Lookout Mtn vicinity) and have heard bees near the trees on one of the trails there. (No blossoms that I can see on the trees.) I take my mosquito mesh with me now.
Be careful. It's not quite "a jungle out there." But history shows that it can be dangerous out there.

Re: Lookout Mountain Bee Attack
I didn't see what area the hiker was attacked. There are two areas, in particular, that are noted for bees.
On the southside of the mountain, I do hear bees in the ravines; always makes me a bit nervous.

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.

Re: Lookout Mountain Bee Attack
There were bees on Lookout when I lived in the area a dozen years ago. Always made me nervous when I heard them buzzing around.
